Review of the day

A crashing fall at the tenth fence, put an end to the chances of todays tip, Flying Award.

He’d been put under pressure after jumping the previous fence, so maybe that was the issue.
He’d never fallen before in 26 runs over obstacles, so it was certainly out of character.

I guess we’ll never know the reason – though it will be interesting to see if the cheek pieces are retained the next time he runs…

Away from the tips, it was an interesting day for the mentions..!

Mr Cardle ran a shocker at Kempton (despite being backed) and I think he can be safely ditched, for the time being at least…

Howards Legacy on the other hand, ran very well: looking as if he was coming to win the race approaching the last, but just not being able to pass the game leader, Ballyheigue Bay.

Beast of Burden ran out a comfortable winner at Bangor and the 33/1 for the Albert Bartlett was quickly snaffled up.
You now can’t beat 25/1 – which is still quite tempting.

Finally, the best performance of the day, was put in by Sustainability in the hunter chase.
A totally unconsidered 66/1 shot (double that on BF), he ran a screamer.
In the mix throughout, he only gave best to the two market leaders, up the home straight.
He still ran on to finish an honourable third.
I don’t suppose any of you were on him EW, were you?!

Just a quick reminder that as it’s Friday, I will open the tipping window at 6:00 this evening, in case there are any tips I can issue for tomorrows big races.

TVB.
