There are 3 NH meetings today – but very little of
interest and certainly nothing worthy of a tip…
Chepstow offers the best action with the high light (for
us at least !), the rematch between Jackies Solitaire and Pitter Patter, that
takes place at 4:05.
We were on Jackies Solitaire last time out when she took advantage of a final flight fall by Pitter Patter.

On
exactly the same weights it will be interesting to see who comes out on top,
this afternoon.
However, even if you can figure that out, you might still
not be on the winner, as it looks a very open race...
In
the novice handicap chase at 3:30 I’ll be interested to see how Moujik Borget
takes to fences, for Venetia.
If
he jumps OK, he is handicapped to go close.
Kings Song could be of some interest in the novice
handicap hurdle at 4:05 – though there is a lot of guesswork involved: Whilst in
the final event on the card, I could see Buckhorn Tom grinding out a win from
the front – but so could the bookies, as they have made him
favourite.
There is nothing of interest at Musselburgh: whilst it
isn’t much better at Down Royal, where the first race offers the only possible
opportunity,..
That
comes in the shape of Katnap, whom I would be interested in, if he reached a
double figure price.
Finally, keep an eye on Fergall, who contests a flat race
(!) on the AW at Lingfield.
He’s
a decent sort over hurdles (rated 140) and has pace to burn.
I
could easily see him taking to the artificial surface and proving too classy for
todays rivals.
That
said, it’s a flat race, so I’ve not looked too deeply at it…
Good
luck if you do choose to get involved this afternoon.
TVB.
