Whilst it looks as if todays meetings will all go ahead,
it’s a similar situation to yesterday: uncertainty over the conditions coupled
with nothing that really appeals, makes me disinclined to get
involved…
There is no need for us to chase things – and with a busy
few days on the horizon, I would rather take a watching brief this
afternoon…
If I
was going to force a bet, I would be tempted by Conquisto in the 2:40 at
Catterick on his first run for Brian Ellison.
It
looks like he might go off a bigger price than his form entitles him
to…
The
race of the day is also at Catterick at 3:10 – and I make it a 3 cornered affair
between Grate Fella, Tiptoeaway and Vasco D’Ycy.
However, without knowing the state of the ground, it is
impossible to commit on the race.
On
decent ground, I think Tiptoeaway will win – but the rain and snow must make
that unlikely.
Vasco D’Ycy probably represents a bit of value at 8/1 –
but Grate Fella may be a well handicapped horse.
In summary, just a race to watch…

At
Ayr, No Through Road is probably the most interesting runner, in the 3:25 race.
He
continues to climb the handicap – but continues too improve as well.
4/1
seems quite a fair price.
Finally, at Fairyhouse, I’ll be keeping an eye on All the
Chimneys in the handicap hurdle at 2:45 – though he might not be quite good
enough to win.
Similar comments apply to Katnap in the following novice chase – he should be one to look out for next time, however…

Here’s hoping you have a good day. if you do choose to
get involved.
